ABOUT THE PROJECT
More than one past.
Museum Time is an independent editorial project about how objects move through material, archaeological, institutional and personal time.
Why temporal layers
A manufacture date can dominate a label while centuries of use, repair, burial and modern care remain compressed. The essays separate those phases and show what evidence supports each.
Why museums
Museums make distant periods simultaneous through architecture and classification. They also create present conditions—light, support, neighbours and visitor duration—that become part of the object’s continuing biography.
Independence
The project is not affiliated with a museum or ticket platform. Operational details are not its subject and must be checked with institutions.
